Real Madrid are reportedly keen on landing Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny with Juventus also chasing the Frenchman according to Football Direct News.

Bernabeu boss Carlo Ancelotti may elect to offload Pepe and Raphael Varane which would leave the Italian manager open to fresh central defensive additions and Koscielny has been in fine form this season.

Arsene Wenger won’t want to lose a defender of Koscielny’s calibre but a move to Real Madrid may tempt the former Lorient man.

The La Liga giants may be open to offering the aforementioned Varane as part of a swap deal which could perhaps tempt Wenger, who may feel that the 20 year old is a hot prospect worth bringing in.

Koscielny moved to the Emirates Stadium back in July 2010 and has made 162 appearances and in the process formed a hugely reliable partnership with giant German international Per Mertesacker.
