The shaggy-haired Brazil international looks like he will definitely be leaving the west London club when the summer transfer window reopens for business after the Blues’ head coach Jose Mourinho deemed Luiz to now be surplus to requirements going forward at Stamford Bridge.
Initially it has been thought most likely that the coveted centre back would be moving to La Liga champions FC Barcelona next season, however, it is understood that some members of the Barca technical staff are now having some doubts about Luiz’s suitability.
And those doubts look like now opening the door for former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola to make his own move for Luiz, although Bayern will have to wait until after this summer’s World Cup in Brazil is over before opening talks with the 27-year-old as the Selecao manager Luiz Felipe Scolari does not want his players to be distracted.
