Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have left striker Mario Mandzukic out of their squad to take on Borussia Dortmund in this weekend’s DFB-Pokal final as speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea continuing to grow, according to the Metro.

The striker has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge recently as part of a part exchange deal that would see Blues defender David Luiz move in the opposite direction.
And the rumours, which surfaced yesterday, have grown after Guardiola announced Mandzukic has been omitted from Bayern’s squad for tomorrow’s showdown with Borussia Dortmund.
Bayern have claimed that the 27-year-old had been left out of the side for ‘technical reasons’.
‘He would have been able to play. But it is my decision and that’s it,’ Guardiola told reporters.
Mandzukic has caught Jose Mourinho’s eye because of his 23 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions this season, and the Blues boss has targeted him as just one player to help boost his attacking line ahead of a renewed challenge for the Premier League title next season.
The Blues are already believed to be locked in talks over a deal to bring Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa to the club, raising question marks over the futures of Fernando Torres and Demba Ba.
