Man United are readying an offer for soon to be out of contract Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna according to the Daily Mail.

The 31 year old French international has already been approached by United’s local rivals Man City with an offer of a £100k a week deal that would run for four years and that’s an offer incoming boss Louis van Gaal may struggle to trump.
Man United could well do with a top quality right-back as the likes of Phil Jones, Rafael and Chris Smalling failed to impress in the role this season and Sagna is a proven commodity who is arguably one of the best free transfer signings around this summer.
Sagna is set to bring his seven year spell at the Emirates Stadium to an end when his current deal expires in a matter of weeks after months of contract talks with the north London club.
Man City’s interest in Sagna may not appeal as much to the Arsenal man given that Pablo Zabaleta could be a tough player to displace from Manuel Pellegrini’s first team set-up.
Sagna has made 284 appearances for Arsenal and it’s perhaps fitting that the last of those appearances came in the FA Cup Final on Saturday when the former Auxerre man collected his first piece of silverware at the Premier League club.
