The brilliant Spain international has already been told by the La Liga giants that he is surplus to requirements now at Camp Nou and as such, if Barca were to receive a suitable offer for Fabregas then he will be allowed to leave Catalonia this summer.
However, the west London club know that they will face stiff competition for Fabregas’s signature though from Manchester United and his former club Arsenal, who have both been heavily linked with the player in recent days.
And now Chelsea head coach Jose Mourinho is said to have also joined the queue to land the 27-year-old, who only moved to re-join his boyhood club from the Gunners in August 2011 on a five-year deal for an initial fee of £35m.
But it is also said that the Blues are not prepared to offer more than £25m though for Fabregas, while the Catalans are understood to be holding out for a fee around the £40m mark.
