Starlet, 19, has a contract at the Parc des Princes that runs until 2017.
Manchester United have now joined Premier League rivals Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City in the race to sign highly rated young Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot this summer, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
The new Red Devils head coach Louis van Gaal may have only recently been confirmed in his new role at Old Trafford, however, despite the Dutchman needing to wait until after his involvement ends as the Netherlands boss at this summer’s World Cup before he can actually officially start work in the north west, the 62-year-old is understood to already be busy planning for the new season.
And that means that Van Gaal is believed to have handed a list of possible transfer targets for United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to go after, with the name of the PSG starlet said to be on his wish list.
United have had problems in the centre of the park of late, with doubts over the abilities of both Tom Cleverley and Marouane Fellaini, while Darren Fletcher has also struggled with illness recently.
