The strong running 27 year old has been a hugely important member of the Chelsea side over the course of the past four seasons, helping the west London side to Champions League and Europa League triumphs and is seemingly not a player Jose Mourinho is looking to sell this summer.
Having sold David Luiz to PSG and with John Obi Mikel appearing to be surplus to requirements Mourinho wouldn’t want to lose another strong tackling midfielder and Ramires offers a great deal both defensively as well as in the opposition half.
Ancelotti may see Ramires as an effective replacement for Sami Khedira, with the German having spent most of 2013/14 out with injury.
Ramires has already racked up 196 appearances for the Blues and is part of Felipe Scolari’s 2014 World Cup finals squad.
