Arsenal & Barcelona To Miss Out On Highly-Rated Colombian Winger

In-demand Fiorentina star set to stay put.Big clubs such as Arsenal and Barcelona look set to miss out on the signing of Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado as he finalises a deal to stay with the club, according to La Nazione.

The 26-year-old has just enjoyed a superb season with La Viola in 2013/14, scoring 15 goals and weighing in with eight assists in all competitions to put himself among the most in-demand transfer targets in Europe this summer, but it looks increasingly likely that he will not be moving this year.

The Colombian international, who had been co-owned by both Fiorentina and Udinese, is now expected to seal a deal that would see him become Fiorentina’s player outright, with the club then looking to offer him an improved contract.

This will come as a major boost for the Serie A side, who had to deal with the departures of a number of key players last summer as the likes of Stevan Jovetic and Adem Ljajic both left the club for moves elsewhere.

Both Arsenal and Barcelona are in the hunt for new signings in the wide areas, but will have to consider other options now as Cuadrado will seemingly not be available for transfer.
