Carlo Ancelotti is apparently desperate to bring the Brazilian to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, having originally signed him for the Blues back in 2010.
And now according to reports in Spain he has been given the backing of the club president to make a concrete offer, having previously been reluctant to open up negotiations.
However, despite giving the green light for their pursuit, Perez will face an uphill battle to persuade Chelsea to part with Ramires.
The Brazilian ace has become a key component in Chelsea’s squad, chalking up 196 appearances for the club since signing on from Benfica in a £17m deal.
Jose Mourinho is also not thought to be interested in letting him go either, having already released club legend Frank Lampard and sanctioning the £50m move of David Luiz to Paris Saint Germain.
Mourinho wants to build his squad rather than subtract from it after bringing in Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona this week in a £30m deal.
