The 24 year old German international has been in a long running dispute with his Allianz Arena employers over his salary, with Kroos demanding parity with star performers like Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, a demand the Bundesliga side have steadfastly refused.
Kroos now has just a year to run on his contract and Real Madrid have offered the midfield general a deal worth £4m a year but Blues boss Jose Mourinho is ready to blow that offer out of the water.
The Chelsea manager has already signed Spaniard Cesc Fabregas and appears to want to completely re-shape his midfield and will offer Kroos a massive £7m a season contract that the Bayern Munich man will struggle to ignore.
If Pep Guardiola’s side can not tie down Kroos to a new deal then the German giants are reportedly ready to accept offers of around £20m for his services.
Having banked almost £50m from the sale of David Luiz to PSG Mourinho will no doubt be able to meet that asking price.
