Reports have been linking a number of big name stars with a move to Old Trafford this summer, but new coach Louis Van Gaal could be set to lose one of his own as the Spaniards target their young asset.
The 19-year-old is currently on World Cup duty with Belgium in Brazil, fresh off the back of an impressive debut campaign that saw him become one of the brighter sparks in an otherwise dull campaign for the Red Devils, and naturally, his good form has caught the attentions of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Januzaj made 35 appearances across all competitions for the club last season, scoring four goals in the process, and his performances both on the right and through the middle have prompted Madrid to prepare a whopping £33m offer for his services once he has returned from international duty.
However, Van Gaal will likely attempt to block the move once his tenure in the northwest begins after the World Cup.
