Cavani only joined the Ligue 1 champions last summer from Napoli, but has endured a tough time at the Parc des Princes as he has been unable to displace Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the club’s first choice striker.
Speculation surrounding his future has been rife because of that, and United have been touted as one of the frontrunners to land his signature in the coming weeks.
And according to reports in Europe, Cavani already has an offer from the club on the table, but has some reservations over playing second fiddle to Robin Van Persie.
Cavani is adamant that he wants to be undisputed first choice if he does leave PSG and knows that is unlikely to be the case at United.
RVP’s status within the squad is already secure, which will certainly be the case when Louis Van Gaal takes over after the World Cup.
