Stamford Bridge side set sights on German international.
Chelsea are planning a last gasp move to sign Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira according to Spanish source El Confidencial.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho is ready to raid his former club and surprisingly the German international could be available for as little as €20m (£16m) as the Spanish giants target Brazilian Luiz Gustavo as a potential replacement as well as Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos.

Mourinho’s interest in Khedira may be with a view to replacing PSG bound David Luiz, with the Brazilian having primarily been used in a defensive midfield role under the Portuguese boss.
Khedira missed most of last season through injury but returned for the closing weeks of the campaign and started the 2014 Champions League final against Atletico Madrid and has played a prominent role in Joachim Low’s World Cup set-up, starting three of Germany’s five matches thus far.
Mourinho may look to partner Khedira and new signing Cesc Fabregas in a new look midfield that may well leave the likes of Nemanja Matic and John Obi Mikel considering his futures at the west London club.
It was Jose Mourinho who brought Khedira to Real Madrid from Stuttgart and is clearly keen to repeat the trick.
