Spaniard keen on Gunners move.

Check in to Arsenal vs Crystal Palace

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas is seemingly intent on leaving the club for a move to Arsenal next summer, according to El Confidencial.

The long-serving Spanish shot-stopper looks likely to be axed by his club after some poor recent performances, with Levante and Costa Rica star Keylor Navas likely to be brought in to be their new number one this summer.

Arsenal remain keen on making a new signing in goal due to some inconsistent displays from current first choice Wojciech Szczesny, with other big names such as David Ospina and Guillermo Ochoa both being linked with the club in recent times.

Despite Casillas’ dip in form, it seems that Arsene Wenger remains willing to bring him to the Emirates Stadium, though it looks as though a move will have to wait until next summer when the player’s contract with Madrid expires.

It has even been suggested that the 33-year-old could leave for a cut-price deal this year after his relationship with Madrid has grown sour, but his situation remains up in the air for the moment.

Arsenal have also been linked with Casillas’ Real team-mate Sami Khedira this summer, having also brought in Mesut Ozil from the Spanish giants last season.
