Anfield side look to bring in AS Monaco hot-shot.
Liverpool are reportedly leading the race to pull off an astonishing capture of AS Monaco forward Radamel Falcao according to the Metro.

By all accounts the 28 year old Colombian is considered a genuine Anfield target as Brendan Rodgers seeks to bring in a worthy replacement to fill the void left by Luis Suarez’s departure to Barcelona.
Falcao is a player who can certainly do just that and with his Ligue 1 side keen to sanction a sale, possibly via an initial loan deal, to help the principality side adhere to UEFA’s FFP (Financial Fair Play) guidelines a move away from the Stade Louis II seems plausible.
Real Madrid and Man City have both been linked with moves for the powerful marksman, who has scored goals aplenty since moving to Europe in 2009, but now the Merseyside outfit are in pole position to snap up Falcao.
Rodgers had hoped to bring in Loic Remy from QPR but that move collapsed and though England veteran Rickie Lambert has been brought in it’s clear that Liverpool require a more suitable player to act as a first choice partner for Daniel Sturridge and Falcao would be an excellent option for that role.
Falcao netted 72 goals in 87 appearances for FC Porto before moving to Atletico Madrid where he racked up 70 goals in two seasons before moving to AS Monaco last summer where he scored 11 goals in 19 appearances before suffering a knee injury that curtailed his campaign and ruled him out of the World Cup.
Now fully fit, netting against Arsenal in the Emirates Cup tournament last weekend, Falcao is raring to go in 2014/15.
