Manchester United outcast Anderson has turned down a return to Brazil, over concerns that potential suitors Flamengo would not be able to pay his wages on time.

The 26-year-old has also been offered to Santos and Atletico Mineiro as United manager Louis van Gaal attempts to force through the midfielder’s departure from Old Trafford.

Daily Mail reports suggest that the former Porto and Gremio player is one of a group of players set to leave the Manchester club, as Van Gaal looks to put his own stamp on the current squad.

But Anderson has left the Dutchman frustrated on this occasion, as he is reportedly unsure whether he would get paid if he made the loan move, with Flamengo having developed a reputation for not getting wages to players on time.

The source suggests that young striker Will Keane is alsp looking at other options while Benfica are among the clubs considering goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard, who United will listen to offers for.

Danny Welbeck is unsure where he will fit in under van Gaal’s regime, especially in a 3-5-2 formation, but a move to Hull seems unlikely to develop with other clubs also alerted to his situation.
