The former Man City man will help to fill the void left by Luis Suarez’s departure to Barcelona and it’s a move that Balotelli is seemingly very happy to have made.
“I’m very happy. We’ve been talking about coming here and now I’m happy to be here.
“Liverpool are one of the best teams here in England and the football is very good here.
“It’s a great team with young players, and that’s why I came here.”
Balotelli had a fair few issues both on and off the field of play during his 18 month stint at AC Milan but still managed to score regularly, netting 26 goals in 43 Serie A appearances.
Rodgers will look hope Balotelli will adjust swiftly to life back in the Premier League but his arrival is not in time for the Italian international to face his former club this evening as Liverpool travel to the Etihad Stadium for the Monday night fixture.
