Anfield side chase Swiss international.
Having brought in no less than nine players this summer one would have thought that Liverpool had now completed their summer transfer dealings but the Daily Star reports that Brendan Rodgers has other ideas.
The Anfield boss still has an interest in Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri and has now been linked with a loan move to Merseyside.
The 22 year old was on the bench for Bayern Munich’s opening Bundesliga fixture and this led to Shaqiri stating;
“Clearly you’re disappointed if you are not in the starting line-up”
“The coach has decided it, so you have to accept it,”
Juventus and AS Roma are also keen on the Swiss international, who impressed at this summer’s World Cup finals, scoring a hat-trick against Honduras.
Liverpool have already spent over £100m on eight new signings, with Southampton trio Dejan Lovren, Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana joined by Emre Can, Lazar Markovic, Divock Origi, Alberto Moreno and Mario Balotelli whilst Rodgers has also brought in Atletico Madrid’s Javier Manquillo on a loan deal.
