Monaco ace may end up staying put.
Radamel Falcao’s agent, Jorge Mendes has revealed that he has found it difficult to get meetings with some of the clubs supposedly interested in signing his client this summer, according to French news source RMC Sport.
Mendes was in Monaco on Thursday evening to witness the Champions League draw for the upcoming season, and had been hoping to meet with a number of officials from the likes of Arsenal and Real Madrid.
However, he has revealed that those most heavily linked with Falcao’s signature have been the most reluctant to enter into negotiations.
Apparently Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti had been worried about his compatibility alongside some of the club’s other star names, while Arsenal have been quiet since Olivier Giroud was ruled out with a broken ankle.
Some clubs, though, had been interested, but those who were willing to talk were dismissed on the other end. Falcao is known to want to leave the principality club, but it not willing to move to Serie A.
Mendes also contacted Manchester City, who had shown an initial interest earlier in the summer, but their interest rests on the shoulders of Alvaro Negredo, who is also wanted elsewhere only for injury to scupper any chances of an imminent switch.
