Villa Park side hope to push through move to sign Old Trafford star.
Aston Villa are looking to complete a loan move to sign Man United midfielder Tom Cleverley today according to the Daily Mirror.
The Villa Park side made a late move for the Old Trafford star but failed to complete the deal before the 11pm deadline last night and have asked the Premier League to ratify the move because the transfer was well advanced.
Paul Lambert pushed on with efforts to bring in the 25 year old once Everton decided to cease their push to capture the Man United bit-part player and had agreed a move to bring in Cleverley on a loan deal until January.
Cleverley would do well to complete such a switch as he doesn’t appear to be part of Louis van Gaal’s plans and given Aston Villa’s solid start to the campaign a move to the Midlands may act as a good shop window for a possible permanent transfer in January.
