Radamel Falcao Thanks Fans Following Manchester United Debut

The striker was given a warm reception by United’s fans when he came on against QPR.

Manchester United’s newest signing Radamel Falcao has thanked fans for the warm reception he was given when he came on as a substitute in the Red Devils 4-0 victory over QPR on Sunday, Goal.com reports.

The Colombian front man was making his first appearances for his new club following his deadline day loan move from AS Monaco.

The 28 year old said that he enjoyed the reception he got as he came onto the pitch and hopes his new club continue to win in style.

”I am very happy for this victory and the support was great,” he told the club’s official website. “I want to continue that way. I want to say thank you to the fans and I enjoyed that a lot, this match. It was fantastic. I almost scored. The goalkeeper was good. I hope to score the next game.

”It felt good to make my debut here at Old Trafford and I am happy to get the win. I am enjoying this moment. It is an extraordinary stadium, a legendary stadium. Bit by bit, we will gel together as a team and the new players will feel more comfortable. I hope everything continues for us like it has.”

Several of United’s new arrivals shone during the win against the Hoops. Angel Di Maria scored the first goal and put in a man of the match performance while Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo and Ander Herrera all put in impressive performances.
