Florentino Perez doesn’t think Iker Casillas should be getting booed by the crowd at the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has thrown his backing behind underfire goalkeeper Iker Casillas, who was the subject of boos at Los Blancos last home game, Marca reports.

The Spanish legend has been in poor form for sometime. At the World Cup, he was at fault for a host of goals that Spain conceded while he hasn’t looked very assured in the Real Madrid goal during the first few matches of the season.
Despite Casillas poor form, Perez thinks the legendary goalkeeper should be shown more respect by the crowd at the Bernabeu.
“The only thing I can say about Casillas is that he deserves our respect. He’s been at the club for fifteen years and sometimes he doesn’t deserve the boos that he gets, I don’t like it and it doesn’t make us stronger. Let’s let him work without pressure and let’s let the coach do what he needs to do”, he said.
There is the possibility that Casillas maybe be dropped if he continues his poor form with summer signing Keylor Navas impressing during the World Cup with Costa Rica.
If that happens, the Spaniard may look to leave the Santiago Bernabeu with a move to Arsenal reportedly on the cards.
