United have been strongly linked with a move for Bale in the last few weeks and recent suggestions were that they were working on a bid.

However, reports both in the UK and in Spain are claiming that the Red Devils are finally going to put together an offer that will make him the world’s most expensive player for a second time in just 18 months.

Though there is no official figure yet, it is believes that the fee would come in around £90m for the Wales international, whose game has continued to blossom since making the transition to La Liga in the summer of 2013.

However, despite that, he has recently began to cut an unpopular figure in the Madrid dressing room, with several of the club’s stars unhappy with all-round performances and could welcome the opportunity to return to England if given the chance.
