A new time-lapse video has been released by San Jose Earthquakes, showing grass growing inside their stadium. It’s better than it sounds, promise!
San Jose Earthquakes are scheduled to move into a new, soccer-specific, 18,00o capacity stadium in 2015. It’s been planned since 2007, and after much legal wrangling it’s finally coming to fruition.
They have just released a video on their website of the new pitch taking shape, and it gives an interesting insight into the complexities of laying smooth, football-quality turf.
It makes very entertaining viewing – definitely more exciting than watching paint dry!
