Manchester United are out to defend their International Champions Cup title at the end of the season with a pre-season tour of American confirmed at the end of the season.
The teams that will be competing in the tournament are: Chelsea, Barcelona, Fiorentina, Porto, PSG, LA Galaxy, New York Red Bulls, San Jose Earthquakes and Club America.
The organisers are yet to confirm fixtures, dates or venues, the BBC Sport report.
The Red Devils last summer claimed the title over Premier League rivals Liverpool in the final at the beginning of August.
The Daily Mail reported that Old Trafford chiefs have cut short the Red Devils’ tour of the States to less than two weeks, as Louis van Gaal wants his squad to be in perfect condition ahead of the following campaign.
The tournament last summer ended just 12 days before the start of the Premier League season.
The competition could also see Steven Gerrard line up against Manchester United for perhaps the last time in his career – but this time in an LA Galaxy shirt.
