Old Trafford wide-man on San Sebastian radar.
Former Man United boss David Moyes has set his sights on Old Trafford winger Ashley Young as he sets about putting his stamp on the Real Sociedad squad he inherited on Thursday according to the Sunday Mirror.
The Scottish manager has taken over at the San Sebastian and is keen to strengthen his squad and may perhaps tempt England man Young into moving to the Basque outfit.
29 year old wide-man Young has fallen down the Man United pecking order and is apparently free to leave the club if an interested buyer makes an offer in January.
Young has started just three of Man United’s 11 Premier League fixtures and though contracted with the club until the summer of 2016 one imagines that an offer way below the £17m paid to Aston Villa in 2011 would be accepted by Louis van Gaal.
The likes of Angel di Maria, Adnan Januzaj and Juan Mata are all ahead of Young in Louis van Gaal’s plans and as such a move to La Liga may appeal to Young.
