Old Trafford side want cultured PSG star.
Man United are preparing a move for unhappy PSG midfielder Yohan Cabaye according to the Metro.
The 28 year old has struggled to retain a foothold in Laurent Blanc’s starting eleven his January move to the French capital and is keen to make a Premier League return.
Liverpool were seemingly leading the chase for the former Newcastle United man but it seems Old Trafford boss Louis van Gaal is moving in for the kill.
PSG are ready to sell the French international for a fee of around £20m which one imagines is a sum Man United would be willing to pay.
Van Gaal is looking to strengthen his central midfield options, not least as summer signing Ander Herrera has failed to deliver the goods, and the fact that Cabaye has a good level of English top tier experience may be an extra motivating factor.
Prior to his move to Ligue 1 giants PSG Cabaye spent two and a half seasons at St James’ Park, netting 17 goals in 79 Premier League appearances.
