Another poor display from the captain who’s passing was unusually poor and he did little to inspire.
24. Joe Allen (Can, 74′) – 6
Suffered a nasty head injury and it seemed to affect the Welshman’s usually neat passing technique.
20. Adam Lallana (Borini, 72′) – 7
A great display from the England international who was one of very few positives for Brendan Rodgers and Lallana’s pass for Lambert’s opener was sublime.
31. Raheem Sterling – 6
Lively at times, but the 19-year-old continues to struggle to find the same sort of form he showed last campaign.
10. Philippe Coutinho – 6
At least the Brazilian showed invention, even if it didn’t always pay off for Coutinho.
