The Brazilian born Spanish international only made a £32m move to the Premier League this summer, but after a fantastic start to his Blues career he is surely being monitored more closely by Europe’s top clubs.
Former Coventry star John Aloisi believes Costa could even be in line for a surprising move back to La Liga with Madrid if his form continues.
“It’ll be interesting to see who they [Real Madrid] could sign. There’s no-one bigger than Ronaldo and Messi at the moment, but they seem to get someone every year,” he said.
“They could make a bid for Diego Costa for instance.”
This is purely speculation of course, and with the former Atletico Madrid man having only just sealed his move to Stamford Bridge he is unlikely to be eyeing a switch back to Spain any time soon.
Los Blancos are not afraid to spend big however, and if they believe Costa is the man to improve their squad next season then they will not hesitate in trying to bring him to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
