Jack Butland – Stoke City
Butland’s Stoke goalkeeping competition, Thomas Sorensen, recently gave an interview where he suggested the 21 year old would have to temporarily leave the Potters in order to get playing and develop his obvious talent.
Normally when young players leave on loan it’s a sign they’re not wanted or deemed not good enough, but Butland faces some difficult competition at Stoke with the sizeable figures of Sorensen and Asmir Begovic ahead of him in the pecking order.
There should be no fears over Butland’s future however as Sorensen says: “He’s working hard, he’s got the talent, I’m sure he will be one of the top keepers in the Premier League in the future.”
