Reports in the Daily Express explain that Berahino has been heavily linked with a move away from the Hawthorns after impressing this term and breaking into the England set up.
While a host of Premier League clubs have expressed an interest in the player, the 21-year-old also has admirers on the continent – including Serie A giants Inter Milan.
Roberto Mancini, who took over at Inter last month, is familiar with English football from his time at Manchester City, and believes Berahino could be the ideal signing for his new-look side.
The source believes that Inter may even be willing to meet the Baggies £24m asking price. Robbie Keane was the last British, or in this case Irish player, to be signed by the Milan side in 2000.
And the news will come as a blow to both Liverpool and Spurs, who are both desperate to add to their striking options after struggling for goals so far this season.
