Old Trafford side chase AS Roma star.
Man United will reportedly complete the long awaited signing of Dutch international Kevin Strootman in January according to reports on the Daily Star.
The Old Trafford side will fork out £32m to bring in the 24 year old according to FIFA agent Matteo Materazzi with the AS Roma man having now proven his fitness having returning from a long term injury in recent weeks.
Louis van Gaal knows Strootman well from his time in charge of the Netherlands and will look to the midfield general to offer him more quality in the centre of the park.
Man United could well do with bringing in Strootman, who is arguably a step-up from the likes of Daley Blind, Darren Fletcher, Marouane Fellaini, and may well be open to a move to the Premier League side.
The former PSV Eindhoven man has impressed since moving to the Stadio Olimpico in the summer of 2013 though Rudi Garcia will have been impressed at how his side have fared during his lengthy lay-off.
