The mercurial winger was thought to be close to a Spurs exit in the summer as new boss Mauricio Pochettino does not see him as part of the North London side’s future.

However, a deal with QPR never materialised but the West London club are thought to be eager to return for Lennon in January say the Daily Telegraph.

A loan is preferred before trying to wrangle a permanent deal in the summer.
