Manchester United transfer news
The Spanish shot stopper has recently emerged as one of Real’s top transfer targets, with Carlo Ancelotti seemingly looking for a long-term replacement for struggling number one Iker Casillas.
The veteran keeper is in the final year of his contract at the Bernabeu and may be heading for the exit, which would make de Gea an extremely useful signing for the club.
Still, despite United’s strong interest in a big-money deal for Bale, it remains to be seen if they will be willing to part with one of their best players this season and someone who could be their first choice in goal for many years to come.
De Gea first moved to Old Trafford in the 2011/12 season, but may be tempted to make a return to his native Spain after a spell in England.
