The 30-year-old recently completed a permanent transfer to Serie A side AC Milan, where he spent the first half of this season on loan from Chelsea.
However, with the Spaniard struggling to find his best form at the San Siro, he has now been loaned out by the Italian giants to his old club Atletico, where he started his career.
Torres will be hoping to rediscover at least some of his best form after a highly disappointing few years at Stamford Bridge, where he failed to meet expectations after joining the club from rivals Liverpool for a club-record £50m.
Despite being world class at Anfield, Torres struggled for goals at Chelsea before leaving the club on loan this summer, and now permanently.
