Anfield side look to snap up AS Roma teenager.
Liverpool are readying a January move for young Swedish star Valmir Berisha according to the Daily Express.
The 18 year old was strongly linked with a move to the Premier League in January but instead opted to join AS Roma but has thus far failed to force his way into Rudi Garcia’s first team set-up and is now looking to secure a loan move away from the Stadio Olimpico next month.
Greek side Panathanikos are keen but Brendan Rodgers hopes to win the race to bring in the youngster though one wonders if Berisha is ready to offer the Anfield boss a first team option.
Liverpool could certainly do with fresh striking options with summer signings Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli both failing to impress whilst Daniel Sturridge has missed most of the season through injury.
This has led to Rodgers looking to convert Raheem Sterling into a striker, a move that has started to pay off of late.
