Brendan Rodgers wants Villarreal starlet Luciano Vietto at Liverpool
Having scored 12 goals in 23 matches since joining Villarreal in August the 21-year-old has been impressing in La Liga and Rodgers is keeping a close eye, according to the Mirror.
Vietto has been compared to fellow Argentine Sergio Aguero for the way he plays and the Reds will be hoping the youngster is as effective as the Manchester City striker should they sign him.
Rodgers wants a different option in attack with Mario Balotelli having failed to fill the void left by Luis Suarez since completing a £16m transfer from AC Milan.
