The Bernabeu side are ready to offer £70m for the 23 year old Belgian, a bid that is sure to get short shrift from Blues boss Jose Mourinho.
Hazard is said to be closing in on a new Blues contract and though the deal hasn’t been signed off it’s worth noting that the former Lille man is currently tied to the west London club until 2017 and as such there is no reason for the Premier League table toppers to consider offers for the player at this juncture.
Chelsea paid Lille £32m for Hazard back in June 2012 and he has proven a massive success since moving to the English top tier, racking up 40 goals and 34 assists in 140 appearances in two and a half seasons, and whilst one can see why Real Madrid would want the tricky flair player this doesn’t seem a move that is likely to come to fruition.
It’s also not immediately obvious as to how Carlo Ancelotti could field Hazard in a side that would already include Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez.
