The Gunners move for the Spanish international will apparently have the knock on effect of hampering any Man United bid for Gareth Bale, with PSG and Man City also said to be chasing the 22 year old Bernabeu attacker.

The former Malaga man has struggled to force his way into Carlo Ancelotti’s starting eleven, with the likes of the aforementioned Bale, Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez occupying slots Isco ably fills.

Real Madrid are therefore willing to cash-in on Isco and a £64m deal is apparently ‘in the offing’ and Arsene Wenger is ready to battle Manuel Pellegrini for the Real Madrid star.

Pellegrini knows Isco well from his time in charge of Malaga and one imagines Man City are more than willing to once again dig deep for the attacking midfielder whilst a £64m move from Arsenal seems hard to fathom given the surfeit of talent they have in the positions the transfer target would fill.

When called upon Isco has certainly delivered the goods at Real Madrid but may well feel the need to move on in order to not see his career progression stagnate.
