Premier League giants in battle to sign Ligue 1 star.
Arsenal and Manchester United look set to face competition from Real Madrid for the signing of £62m-rated Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani, according to Fichajes.net.
The Uruguayan international is widely regarded as a world class striker after making a name for himself at previous club Napoli, though he has not yet hit top form in Ligue 1.
Cavani joined PSG last season but has sometimes played out of position and does not appear to be in Laurent Blanc’s long-term plans at the Parc des Princes.
Premier League clubs have shown a strong interest in signing the 27-year-old, but it may now be that Real will join the chase for his signature as they consider new additions upfront next season.
Although the Spanish giants already have the likes of Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo to choose from in that part of the pitch, the club are always looking to bring in the world’s biggest names.
