Liverpool transfer news
The Reds are long-time admirers of the England Under-21 international, who has really caught the eye with some fine goalscoring displays in the Premier League this season.
Other top clubs have also taken notice of Berahino’s form, but Liverpool are in particular need of a new signing upfront after some poor performances from summer signings Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert.
Raheem Sterling has been played out of position upfront in recent games, while even Fabio Borini was selected ahead of Balotelli for the win over Sunderland on Saturday.
Berahino would no doubt be an upgrade for Brendan Rodgers’ side, and news that he is stalling over extending his deal with West Brom could give the club hope in their pursuit of the youngster.
