The ex-Colombia international claimed that the 28-year-old is the only reason to watch the Red Devils, and celebrated when Southampton scored the winning goal against the 63-year-old’s side. He also compared the United boss to one of the Goonies.

The Old Trafford based side lost 1-0 to the Saints in the match, and the result meant that they dropped down to fourth in the Premier League, with the South Coast club overtaking them. The loss was Man United’s first since the beginning of November, but with recent performances not being up to scratch it has led to some disappointment with the current manager.

The striker was not even on the bench for the encounter, with youngster James Wilson seemingly being preferred for a place amongst the substitutes. Asprilla accused the former Barcelona manager of having problems with South American players.
