The Italian giants were believed to be keen on bringing the misfiring Merseyside man back to Serie A, with his £16m move to Liverpool from AC Milan proving a complete disaster.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has rubbished the rumours however, claiming that the Turin based club have no interest in bringing Balotelli back to Italy this January.

“I think this is a made up story,” he said.

“Balotelli has done very well with me but he belongs to Liverpool and he is not a player that can arrive at Juventus.”

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has denied that the club even want to offload the Italian international this winter, despite the struggling star failing to find the net even once in the Premier League.

20-year-old Raheem Sterling has largely been preferred up front as a make-shift forward, despite the likes of Balotelli, Fabio Borini, and Rickie Lambert available for selection.
