The former Chelsea striker netted in extra time in the FA Cup, a clash which eventually saw Sam Allardyce’s side progress to the next round. After scoring what looked at the time to be the winning goal, he pointed to the sky in memory of his friend and former teammate.

20-year-old Malanda was killed in a car crash last Saturday, the Wolfsburg midfielder skidding off the road and being thrown from his vehicle.

The pair were from the same area in Belgian capital Brussels, and became close friends at a young age. Lukaku posted a touching message on social media, and was visibly devastated by the news that his friend had been taken far too early.
