Morelia have been eliminated from the 2015 Copa Libertadores after losing their first round match 3-1 on aggregate against Bolivian team The Strongest.

The second leg last night was seriously affected by rain. The pitch turned into a swamp for the second half and play was reduced to a farce.

The Strongest dominated the entire game, but despite their clear dominance the goals didn’t come until very late on when Pablo Escobar struck twice in the 86th and 89th minute – earning his side a 2-0 win.

The result means it is the Bolivian team who advance to group stages of Libertadores, where they will face Emelec (ECU), Internacional (BRA) and Universidad (CHI).
