According to the club’s official Twitter account, Dutch striker Robin van Persie is very unlikely to play for Manchester United this weekend.

Robin Van Persie Unsure of Long Term Man United Future
The Red Devils will play local rivals Preston North End in the Fifth Round of the FA Cup on Monday night, but the former Arsenal man will not be involved. The absence of the 31-year-old striker means Wayne Rooney will probably be pushed forward, back into attack to partner Radamel Falcao.
Van Persie has admitted to not scoring enough goals this season, and there is reason to believe he may look for a way out of Old Trafford this summer.

The experienced forward enjoyed a fantastic first season at Old Trafford, with his switch from the Emirates immediately bringing him a Premier League winners medal. He has struggled somewhat since then however, and looks a shadow of his former self.
