Manchester United and Arsenal have been drawn against each other in the quarter-finals…
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes that the FA Cup draw is perfect for Steven Gerrard to continue on the road to a potential send off in the final of the competition.
The draw included a potential match up between Manchester United and Arsenal in the quarter finals. The Red Devils still have to beat Preston North End for this fixture to go ahead. Meanwhile the Reds have what looks like an easy encounter against Championship Blackburn at Anfield.
This is perfect news for captain Gerrard, who is finally leaving the club in the summer. The 34-year-old’s birthday is on the same day as the FA Cup final, and the match could be his last ever for the Merseyside club if they make it there. Carragher was so amazed by the outcome of the draw that he even joked that his former teammate had a hand in it!
Never saw the draw for the Fa Cup but just heard the quarter final ties. Did Steven Gerrard do the draw?
