Fernando Torres is set to make a dramatic return to Anfield to make an appearance in Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard’s farewell match on March 29th, according to Spanish newspaper AS.
The Reds skipper confirmed he would be leaving his boyhood club at the end of the season, ahead of a move to MLS side LA Galaxy, but not before a major send-off from the club he has served his entire career.

AS report that the 34-year-old has personally contacted his most admired former team-mates, including Torres, Luis Suarez, Javier Mascherano, Pepe Reina and Xabi Alonso, to appear in his send-off fixture.
Gerrard, who was heartbroken when the Spaniard decided to leave the Reds, will no doubt be delighted to line-up alongside the former Anfield striker.
Whether the Liverpool faithful will be as delighted remains to be seen, given the Spaniard’s controversial move to Premier League rivals Chelsea in 2011.
