Roberto Martinez is looking to bolster his options in the centre of the park.
Everton are considering making an approach for Manchester United midfielder, Tom Cleverley at the end of the season, according to ESPN.
The 25-year-old is currently on loan at Premier League rivals Aston Villa, having joined last summer, but only after the Toffees had failed to agree a deal with his parent club. Cleverley has made 26 appearances for Villa, without scoring a goal.
Cleverley is out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of the season, and with manager Louis van Gaal pursuing a cluster of high-profile signings, it appears that the England international will be looking at a permanent move in the summer.
Everton boss Roberto Martinez is a keen admirer of the midfielder, having previously worked with him at their former club, Wigan Athletic, and it is believed that if Cleverley has a choice between the Merseyside club and Tim Sherwood’s side, he will chose Goodison Park as his next destination.
