Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has hit back at critics of his side after their exit in the Champions League, saying other teams would gladly swap their positions to be where the Blues are.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Portuguese coach was in defiant mood in his press conference this afternoon, proclaiming that he felt his side could still have a great season by adding the Premier League trophy to the Capital One Cup.
“Now we try to win the Premier League,” he said. “Everyone would like to be in our position.
“Our situation is good. It’s better than everybody else.”
Mourinho added that he hopes Arsenal and Manchester City can go further in the Champions League for the good of English football.
“I wish Manchester City and Arsenal can go further than us. For English football,” he said.
